This was 10+ years in the making. I’d had the vision brewing for a while; I just took my time getting there. But things kicked into high gear back in August 2022 when I started hunting for the perfect creative space. I found a hidden gem tucked away in Aliso Viejo—blank walls and concrete floors, but I could see the potential. Even after months of hesitation nearly leading me to call it off, I decided to take the plunge, leased the place, and committed to making it wholly my own.
My son took one look and dubbed it “lame in here.” Can’t say I blamed him. We jokingly started calling it “the lame place.” But not for long. I already had the vision crystallizing—just needed to sign and start executing.
And execute I did, tirelessly transforming that vacant concrete box into my own personal batcave filled with a dark aesthetic vibe. Blank walls became matte charcoal murals, empty floors polished into sleek graphite grey. Piece by piece, imagination turned into reality. Where once stood a barren space now thrives my creative sanctuary, my own little gothic hideaway. The lame place made way for something entirely new – a brooding den uniquely my own.
